Amayse, best known for supplying the 3D-effect signage for televised sporting events, recently installed exterior window graphics at Twickenham Stadium ahead of Harlequins’ Big Game 9.
The graphics were printed using a Vutek GS3250r 3.2m-wide UV roll-to-roll printer onto Clear FocusOne Way Vision BudgetVue film, which allows graphics on one side, and a clear, unobstructed view from the other.

Hampshire-based Anton Visual helped to transform specialist builders’ merchants Strukta Group’s Andover-based headquarters with the design, production and installation of a suite of graphics including walls, flooring and signage applications. PPB’s Allison Board wasused to create an attention-grabbing backdrop at an event to launch the new Reebok Crossfit Nano 7. 2m high 3D lettering to promote the Twitter hashtag #NANO7 for the new shoes, was created by Welwyn Garden City-based Best Digital. It built up the letters in layers to a depth of 96mm. After printing the sheets on its Screen Truepress 3200 HS flatbed, the layers were bonded together and faced off with a reverse printed 1mm Acrylic to give a premium feel.
Signs Express has helped launch a brand refresh for planning and development consultancy Nathaniel Lichfield and Partners (NLP), which has changed its name to Lichfields. Designers within Leach Studio, part of Huddersfield-based Leach, have come up with conceptual designs for the Eternal Egypt gallery at Bolton Museum. The images show four different stages of the potential visitor experience and interested parties are being asked on what they think works and how they would like the exhibition space to look. More detailed concepts will then be drawn up and final designs submitted in the spring, with the museum re-opening to the public in 2018.
This is the kind of thing that happens when an inkjet printer manufacturer teams up with a fashion designer. This outfit by Richard Quinn was printed by him onto fabric and Mylar foil using an Epson SureColor SC-F dye-sublimation printer.
UK companies Augustus Martin, Signbox and Digital Plus all won gongs at his years Fespa Awards. Augustus Martin won the: POP - paper and board category (bottom); Signbox the Decals/printed labels/ fleet sector (top); and Digital Plus for the Glass/ ceramic/metal/wood category (middle).
Among a new range of magnetically-receptive films from Aslan is FerroPrint Aslan FF 480 that can be printed with solvent, eco-solvent, UV-curing and latex inks. Combined with Aslan’s transparent blackboard and whiteboard films, printed graphics can also be written on with chalk or whiteboard markers.
London Fashion Week earlier this year saw a 30-piece collection by fashion designer John Herrera that was digitally printed using Epson’s textile dye-sublimation printers. Based in Manila, Philippines, where he works closely with Epson, Herrera was voted Britain’s Top Designer with new collection.
“The collection would have been impossible to create without the Epson digital textile printer,” he said. “Without them I would have had to paint the designs myself and, with only a month to prepare, it could not have been done”.
Sheffield sign company Signs Express has brought life to the exhibitions at Weston Park in a lengthy project for Museums Sheffield. Weston Park underwent refurbishment in 2016 that involved opening new exhibitions, renovating existing ones and improving the overall visitor journey. Signs Express Sheffield supplied creative partitions to block off the areas undergoing work, then created wall and floor graphics, ultraviolet window panels, informational displays etc.
Drivers crossing the Severn Bridge from England into Wales will notice that the toll booth offices have been brightly wrapped with images promoting a TAG vehicle system that allows drivers to pre-pay bridge tolls. The front and sides of the offices were wrapped by All Signs Bristol using 20% Contra Vision Performance perforated window film, applied externally with CL50CY ‘optically clear’ cast overlaminating film.

Mexican eatery Barburrito has unveiled a new look in its Union Square restaurant in Aberdeen thanks to Leach. Dimmable, fabric-based menu lightboxes designed, manufactured and installed by Yorkshire-based Leach Impact have replaced digital screens. Similar menu lightboxes have also been installed at the Gordon Street Barburrito in Glasgow.
Feature walls have also been created for restaurants at the Trafford Centre, Manchester and at the Gateshead Metro Centre, Hammersmith, Cardiff and Queen Street, Glasgow. Now eyes are on reworks of the London Paddington Station and Meadowhall Shopping Centre restaurants.
Belgium-based creative communications specialist Next-Way has helped deliver this 12m x 2.5m display wall for the European Parliament building in Brussels. It was created using Tecna Display's T3 modular system, with T3 fusion tubing profiles forming the framework.
