Creative studio Arm and Eye was commissioned by Vietnamese restauranteurs David Le and Jimmy Yeung to re-brand its new establishment Bang Bang in Warren Street, London. The company came up with what it believes is the first ever Noodle Noir back story that can be traced through in all aspects of the design: “a twisting tale of mobsters, double-crossing and soft shell crab”.
It’s a truly multi-faceted approach with the story told in fractured pieces across menus, napkins and social media but most striking of all, in a huge digitally printed graphic artwork that spreads across one entire wall of the restaurant. Further elements of the story and clues were revealed on social media in the months after launch. Interior design company, Kai Design, worked on the project in a consultative basis with Arm and Eye.
